World Aids Day 2013
On Sunday 1st of December 2013, Kenyans joined the world in celebrating the World AIDS Day and FPFK HIV & AIDS YOUTH PROJECT was not to be left behind. The celebrations were held in Nakuru county at Rhoda Village .Over the years the Project has worked together with the government and other stakeholders to combat the HIV/AIDS epidemic.
Kivukoni games for life activity-Taveta
Games for life activities are those entertainment activities that are not only meant to entertain but also to communicate HIV&AIDS awareness messages to both the participants and the observers. This is made possible by making HIV&AIDS awareness messages as the content of every presentation as well as communicating HIV&AIDS awareness during these events.
The activity in Kivukoni primary school was very successful as every participant did their very best in making sure the event was successful as planned. All the presentations sent message of HIV&AIDS awareness hence the theme of HIV&AIDS awareness was well covered
The activities included VCT services
The participants from several schools presented various items ranging from:
Football matches between the four schools,
There was a tight competition between the participants mostly in drama where all the participants presented competitive skits and the football matches which proceeded up to penalty kicks. The winner in football matches was finally established after several penalty kick attempts.
